  I trawled through many accounts of Alexander, numerous books of myth and legend, and even the Bible. But above all, I must pay tribute to Robin Lane Fox’s, Alexander and the ancient historian, Arrian, and his book, The Campaigns of Alexander which helped me so much in forming my own telling of the myths, history and times of Alexander the Great.
